1) Free outdoor movie: Despicable Me
The SomerMovie Fest viewers' choice winner is Despicable Me, an animated comedy about a criminal mastermind and three orphan girls. You can watch the movie for free, outdoors, at Seven Hills Park in Davis Square at about 8:30 p.m.
2) Somerville's Angel in Adoption
Somerville resident, Colby Swettberg, executive director of Adoption & Foster Care Mentoring, has been selected as a member of Angels in Adoption by the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute, according to an announcement sent on behalf of Adoption & Foster Care Mentoring. Other Angels in Adoption members this year include actress Katherine Heigl and singer and songwriter Josh Kelley. Swettberg will be honored along with about 140 other "Angels" at a ceremony on Sept. 12.
3) Kemp Harris and Scotty Vercoe
The vocalist and pianist will perform soul, pop, jazz, original compositions and American favorites at The Center for Arts at the Armory at 7:30 p.m.
4) Swirl & Slice market
Taste local wine, cheese and specialty foods at the weekly Swirl & Slice farmers market in Union Square. It begins at 5 p.m.
5) Weather and Red Sox
