Five Things: Free Donuts, a Year After the Massachusetts Tornadoes

And some reminders about tomorrow.

 

1) Free Dunkin' Donuts
Dunkin' Donuts is giving away free donuts today with the purchase of a beverage. It's part of National Donut Day, according to a promotional page on Dunkin' Donuts' website. Check out our business listings to find a Dunkin' Donuts in Somerville. If you haven't noticed, there are a few.

2) Tornado anniversary
A year ago today, several tornadoes hit parts of central Massachusetts, leaving three dead and destroying homes and neighborhoods. The region is still rebuilding.

3) Union Square Farmers Market is tomorrow, so is Boston Militia football
A reminder today that the Union Square Farmers Market begins its season tomorrow.

Also, the Boston Militia play the Maine Lynx tomorrow at 6 p.m. at Dilboy Stadium. The Militia are undefeated so far this season.

4) Spooky folk songs
Marissa Nadler will be at The Center for Arts at the Armory tonight to sing "spooky folk songs" from her new record, The Sister. The performance starts at 7 p.m.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox are in Toronto tonight to play the Blue Jays. The game starts at 7:07 p.m. Today will be sunny with a high around 70.
