Five Things: Craft Beer, Tour de France, 'Megamind'

Also, a reception for a Brickbottom art show.

 

1) Craft beer Summerfest kickoff party
Summerfest: A Celebration of Farmhouse Ale, is taking place this weekend at The Center for Arts at the Armory. Tonight, Olde Magoun's Saloon is hosting a kickoff party. The party will include a handful of craft beers, and a bunch of the brewers will be on hand to share a pint. The party starts at 6 p.m.

2) Tour de France at Redbones
Cycling enthusiasts will meet up at Redbones to watch today's stage of the Tour de France, which is from Albertville and La Toussuire-Les Sybelles. Fans will grab some breakfast and watch the live broadcast of the race starting at 9 a.m. Redbones will host a similar viewing party on July 18.

3) Megamind
SomerMovie Fest, an outdoor movie festival that takes place throughout the summer, kicks off tonight with a viewing of Megamind. It starts at about 8:30 p.m. at Seven Hills Park near Davis Square.

4) "Escape Artist" reception
Brickbottom Artist Association is holding a reception tonight for an exhibit of works dealing with fantasy, surrealism and getting away from it all. The reception is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

5) Weather and Red Sox
Today will be sunny with a high around 88. The Red Sox are off tonight, and they start a three game series against the Rays starting Friday.
