Five Things: Concert at The Burren, Gift Bags in Porter Square

Also, a Ward 5 ResiStat meeting, and a Somerville restaurant helps raise money for the Greater Boston Food Bank.

 

1) Ward 5 ResiStat meeting
Residents of Ward 5, which includes part of Ball Square, Magoun Square, and part of the Porter Square area, can learn about what's happening in their neighborhood. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Visiting Nurse Association.

2) Darol Anger and Emy Phelps, with family and friends

3) Journeyman at "Taste" event
Tse Wei Lim and Diana Kudajarova of Journeyman participated in Boston Magazine's "Taste" event on Monday, according to an announcement from the magazine. The event, which took place at the Mandarin Oriental in Boston, raised money for the Greater Boston Food Bank.

4) Fun run at Porter Square City Sports
The City Sports in Porter Square—yes, in Cambridge—is having a fun run today. The festivities begin at 6 p.m., when the first 50 customers in the store will receive a gift bag. There will be refreshments and raffles, and one person will receive a $500 shopping spree. The fun run begins at 6:15 p.m.

5) Weather
Today will be sunny with a high around 46.
