Five Things: Comedy Show in Davis Square, iBall at Armory

Also, singing contest kicks off tonight, and playtime in the garden for kids.

1) Comic Wendy Liebmen at Somerville Theatre
Award-winning comic Wendy Liebman, who's performed on The Tonight Show, HBO, Comedy Central and in her own Showtime special, is at Somerville Theatre tonight, with other comics, to benefit Community Works, a social justice organization. The show is called Share a Laugh, and it begins at 7:30 p.m.

2) iBall
The Center for Arts at the Armory's "iBall: Keeping it Surreal" fundraiser is tonight. It features a surrealist theme and costumes, live music and performances and food from Highland Kitchen, Foundry on Elm, Olde Magoun's Saloon and Slumbrew (okay, that last one isn't food for most people). The event begins at 7 p.m. at the Armory. More here.

3) Garden Club for kids
Bring your kids to the Yardkins Garden Club, where the little ones can work in the garden and play. It's today at 2:45 p.m. at the Somerville Growing Center.

4) Reaching for the Stars audition
The winner of this contest will receive $500, a demo recording session and a concert at The Center for Arts at the Armory. The contest takes place over the course of four weeks. It begins tonight at 6:30 p.m. at the Armory

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox are at home tonight to play the Indians at 7:10 p.m. Showers in the morning, then mostly cloudy. Highs approaching 70.
