1) Boston Science Fiction Film Festival

2) E-waste recycling drive to benefit two Somerville organizations
If you've got old cell phones, cameras, GPS units, laptops, keyboards, MP3 players, or even inkjet toners, you can drop them off today, from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., at Eastern Bank's branch in Davis Square, 250 Elm St. Proceeds from the recycling event will benefit Groundwork Somerville and Somerville Climate Action. You can also drop off old electronics on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
3) Joseph Capuano named manager of government affairs at consulting firm
Joseph Capunao, son of Congressman Michael Capuano, has been named manager of government affairs at the Government Insight Group, according to an announcement from the consulting firm.
4) Richard Cambridge's Poetry Theatre
Hear original works of poetry tonight at The Center for Arts at the Armory. Readings begin at 7:30 p.m.
