Five Things: Black Ink Closing Reception, Music
Five things to know and do in and around Somerville today.
1) Black Ink, Printmaking in Monochrome
In this exhibit, nearly 20 artists show how "blank ink transforms paper through the varied processes of printmaking." Tonight is the closing reception. It takes place at the relatively new Nave Gallery Annex in Davis Square at 6 p.m.
3) Chiara String Quartet
If you feel like heading over to Harvard, the Chiara Quartet will be performing Debussy, Ravel and Dutilleux’s Ainsi la Nuit. It's at John Knowles Paine Concert Hall at 8 p.m. It's free and open to the public, but you'll need a pass.
4) WEEI in Watertown
From the listing: "Join WEEI from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and test your jump shot in Pop-A-Shot to qualify for a chance to take a half court shot for 50K at an upcoming Celtics game." It's at Miller's Ale House at 617 Arsenal St.
It will be snowy in the morning, and highs will be around 36.
