Five Things: Bed Bug Summit
Plus, some fun music, a physicist talks to students and a tasting event.
1) Bed bugs summit
Want to learn about bed bugs? Community Action Agency of Somerville and the Cambridge Health Alliance are hosting a bed bug summit today. It will discuss the current problem with bed bugs along with a history of the critters. You'll also learn about bed bug control and community bed bug prevention. It takes place at 9:30 a.m. at Tufts University, 51 Wintrhop St., Medford.
2) Dockside Saints
The listing says this about the musical group: "At a Dockside Saints show you're likely to hear a reggae version of Danny Boy, a punk version of Star of the County Down, or a Celtic version of the hip hop classic Jump Around. You’ll have such a good time that you’ll want to buy the band a few pints of Guinness and everyone at the bar a shot of Jameson and a Red Stripe." They play at 9:30 p.m. at Sally O'Brien's.
3) Alan Lightman speaks at Prospect Hill Academy
The MIT physicist and author will speak about science and art, and students will perform interpretations of his book, Einstein's Dream. It takes place at Prospect Hill Academy's campus at 54 Essex St., Cambridge.
4) Free wine and beer tasting
Ball Square Fine Wines & Liquors offers wine and beer tasting on Fridays. Check it out starting at 4:30 p.m.
5) Weather and Red Sox
In a series many people, no doubt, are looking forward to, the Sox are in Chicago to play the Cubs at Wrigley Field. The game begins at 2:20 p.m. Today will be sunny with a high around 70.

Speaking for CAAS, I need to make a small correction in #1. Our sponsor is the Somerville Health Foundation, which is administered by Cambridge Health Alliance but is a separate organization. Many thanks to the Somerville Health Foundation for their support!
