Five Things: A Somerville Favorite Moves to Highland Ave., Free Food for Kids

Also, pottery and comedy.

1) HAIR by Christine & Co. is moving
HAIR by Christine & Co., voted best hair salon in Somerville by Somerville Patch readers, is moving to new digs on Highland Avenue. Starting soon, the salon will be at 217 Highland Ave. Call Christing & Co. at 617-776-6470 for more information.

2) Free food for kids all summer long
As a reminder, all summer long there's free food available for Somerville kids 18 and under. Meals are available at a number of locations throughout the city. Find out more here.

3) Warren Smith pottery at Blue Cloud Gallery
Blue Cloud Gallery in Ball Square is offering works by potter Warren Smith through the month of July. Better yet, they're offering a 10 percent discount. Smith's work is "influenced by Japanese and early American folk pottery, combining the humble spirit of organic, handcrafted work with a richly-cultured visual flair," according to the listing.

4) Comedy
Try your hand at making a room of skeptical and imbibing strangers laugh. Every Monday it's Cheapshots Comedy Club at Sally O'Brien's. The funniest performer gets dinner on the house.

5) Weather and Red Sox
The Red Sox play the Athletics today at 10:05 p.m.  Today should be partly sunny with a slight chance of thunderstorms and highs in the mid 80s.
