Five Things: A Good Night for Local Rock and Roll

1) Live performance: the best of Somerville and Cambridge bands
Tonight's listening party, hosted by the Somerville Arts Council at Somerville Grooves, is all about local favorites from Somerville and Cambridge. The party includes in-store performances with members of Old Hat and Hooker Clops. It starts at 6 p.m. at Somerville Grooves.

2) Ball Square, College Avenue Green Line meeting
Review the latest designs for the Ball Square and College Avenue Green Line extension stations. The meeting is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Medford City Hall, 85 George P. Hassett Drive, Medford.

3) Volunteer kick-off at library
The Friends of the Somerville Public Library have a ton of volunteer opportunities, from sorting books to fundraising and social media marketing. Stop by the library tonight at 7 p.m. to learn more.

4) Rock Therapy with Brendan Boogie
Brendan Boogie will interview local musicians, such as Ad Frank and Tad & Kate from Sidewalk Driver. Tonight at 8 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.

5) Weather
Some fog in the morning, then temperatures reaching 78!
