Join East Somerville Main Streets for a 4th of July party. There will be drinks, free appetizers, and red, white and blue cupcakes from Patsy's. Also, it's an opportunity to check out Casey's newly renovated space. It starts at 6 p.m.
2) Youth open mic night
Join Groundwork Somerville, Teen Empowerment and Books of Hope for an open mic night for youth. It starts at 6 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
3) Open mic night at The Burren
Sign up for a 16-minute acoustic set at 6:30 p.m., then play at 8 p.m. It's at The Burren in Davis Square.
