Boston Militia Beat Philadelphia Liberty Belles 59-0
The two-time national champions of women's football are off to a fast start at the beginning of 2012.
The Boston Militia, who play home games at Somerville's Dilboy Stadium, defeated the Philadelphia Libery Belles 59-0 Saturday, accorting to tweets from the Boston Militia and @backseatcoach, a women's football fan who follows the team.
The Boston Militia are two-time consecutive champions of the Women's Football Alliance, and they're already off to a strong start in the 2012 season.
According to the team's website, the defending national champs defeated the New York Sharks 64-6 in the first game of the season, held April 14.
With eight games scheduled for the regular season and dominating performances in the first two games, it seems the Militia, owned by Boston-area car dealer Ernie Boch, Jr., are poised to make strong showing in the 2012 season.
