Boston Magazine Highlights Five New Somerville Restaurants
Latin fare in Union and Davis squares, and some great new places to have a drink.
Boston Magazine has highlighted five new Somerville restaurants—some opened recently, some are opening soon—in the publication's February New Restaurants Preview issue, according to an announcement from the magazine.
The restaurants are:
Casa B: This new tapas place in Union Square serves excellent dishes in an intimate, well designed space.
Parlor Sports: Opened by the owners of Trina's Starlite Lounge, which is next door, this Inman Square bar serves craft beer, cocktails and smart bar snacks, and it has a ton of flatscreen televisions for watching any sport imaginable.
Painted Burro: From the same people who brought us Posto, a few blocks down, this Mexican restaurant is moving into the old Gargoyles space in Davis Square. It's expected to open early this year.
Moe's Lounge at Radio: Located in the old Club Choices space, outside Union Square, Moe's is a retro sports bar with a 70's vibe and comfort food, according to Boston Magazine.
Saloon: Saloon in Davis Square is a wood-paneled watering hole in an almost secretive basement space. From the people behind the street-level Foundry on Elm, Saloon serves cocktails, most of them made with some sort of whiskey, beer and tasty food.
