Bunker Hill Housing Development Drug Ring Raided in 'Operation Tourniquet' 
Twenty people allegedly connected with the drug trade at Bunker Hill Housing Development were arrested Monday in a police sweep dubbed "Operation Tourniquet." Police say an 18-month investigation went into the arrests made at suspects' homes in Charlestown, Jamaica Plain and Everett. But while the alleged drug ring members lived in various parts of the region, their illegal business was focused on the Bunker Hill Housing Development, said Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis. —Matt Casey

John Perella Selected as New Medford High Headmaster
John Michael Perella has been selected as the next headmaster at Medford High School. Perella, currently an assistant principal in the Revere school system, was announced as the selection by Superintendent Roy Belson before a budget meeting Monday night. Perella is currently an assistant principal at Garfield Middle School in Revere. He will replace Paul Krueger, who is retiring this summer. Krueger has been headmaster since 1998. — Jarret Bencks

Arlington Resident to Lead U.S. Team at 2014 Olympics
Katey Stone, an Arlington resident, was recently named head coach of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team by USA Hockey. Stone, who has led Harvard University’s team for the last 18 seasons and is the NCAA Division I active wins leader with 378, has been involved with USA Hockey since 2006. However, the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, will be her first Olympics. — John Waller

Downtown Boston

Developers Plan 54-Story Tower At Filene's Site
After years of inaction, Downtown Crossing's canyon may be filled. The site's new developer has proposed a 606-foot tower for the site, reports the Boston Herald. Millennium Partners detailed a $615 million project to fill in the massive hole that once was a Filene’s department store near Downtown Crossings. The proposed 54-story Millennium Tower will include 500 residential units, 230,000 square feet of retail space, 200,000 square feet of office space and 525 underground parking spots, according to the Boston Business Journal. The living space will be in the tower, while the retail space will occupy the lower levels and the office space will be at the top floors. — Cate Lecuyer

Police: 98-Year-Old Fights Back After Violent Attack in Joy Street Home
A 98-year-old man locked himself in his Joy Street apartment and called 911 after escaping an attack by 54-year-old man at 3 a.m. Sunday, police reported. The older man told police that he was sleeping in his apartment, at 8 Joy St., when his intoxicated next-door neighbor entered his apartment and began "violently attacking" him, reports state. — Kimberly Ashton

Laffa, New Vegetarian Restaurant Opens on St. James
Laffa, an new Israeli-influenced vegetarian restaurant at 31 St. James Ave., is open for business. Serving up items like falafels, the restaurant features eat-in bar stools, but was before the Neighborhood Association of Back Bay’s licensing and building use committee last week with a request to start doing takeout. — Cate Lecuyer

Police Seek Witnesses in Jackson Square Triple Shooting
A hail of gunfire left three men wounded on Thursday night in Jackson Square. None of their wounds are life-threatening, police said. Police found three men wounded when they arrived at 279 Centre St., which is at Bromley-Heath Housing Development, at 9:19 p.m. Those wounded in the shooting were a 27-year-old man, shot apparently in the left calf, and a 22-year-old man with unspecified wounds. Both were taken to Brigham & Women's Hospital. Also hurt was a man for whom police did not give an age. He was struck in the arms and was treated at Boston Medical Center. — Chris Helms

Shots Fired at Miller Park From Starter Pistol
Officers converged on Miller Park June 9 after a report of shots fired, though only spent casings from a starter pistol were found in the area. — Chris Caesar

Brookline Police Arrest Man, Seize a Cache of Guns 
Brookline Police arrested a man and recovered his cache of weapons Monday night. Police say the man had 36 guns—including 14 high-powered rifles—as well as ammunition capable of piercing bulletproof vests and several silencers. — Grahame Turner
