School Life Survey -- High School Students Needed

Here's a chance to share what you know about your school and maybe win an iTunes gift card!

I'm looking for public high school students in the Boston area to about I-495 to answer a 5-10 minute survey about their school. It's a school life survey mainly about academic emphases, school community, safety and diversity. You can follow the link and read all of the questions before deciding whether to participate or whether to send the link to a friend.

Boston area high school students, please complete the survey now at http://tinyurl.com/SchoolLifeSurvey. For every answer you provide, you have a chance to win one of three $10 iTunes gift cards!

Questons? Contact me, Anne Beauchamp, PhD, at schoollifesurvey@gmail.com.

There's no explanation on the survey, or in the text above, of how the results of the survey will be used. I hope its author will provide an explanation so that kids will know how their answers might be used.

Hi Paula,
There's a little more information provided when students follow the survey link. The responses are confidential (I am not collecting names and will not release any identifying information) and will only be shared in aggregate form (i.e., "Half of students agreed that..."). I've mainly created the survey to help me develop items and methods for future surveys. The purpose of the project as a whole is to find a way to collect and share information about important school factors that aren't clearly reflected in the data we usually get about schools, such as test scores and school funding. I'm asking questions about the school experience. These are the factors that I'm interested in as a mom and as an educator. This data will not be used for any commercial purpose. I hope this helps clarify things. Please do email me if you have any other questions.
Thanks,
Anne
