More than 100,000 people in more than 200 cities across six continents are expected to gather in cinemas, galleries, museums and cafes to view and vote on the Manhattan Short Film Festival. In Somerville, the event will take place at the Armory, 191 Highland Ave., with doors opening at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1. The festival runs between Sept. 26 and Oct. 3 with locations across Massachusetts. Tickets are $9.75 at the door.
